What we build
One local crew for every kind of property
A village lot backing to a Woodlands greenbelt, a wooded acre in Porter, and a warehouse yard off I-45 each need a different fence. We plan around the lot, the rules that apply to it, and how you'll use it.

Why 76 Fence
We sort out the rules before we quote
North of Houston, the rules for a fence change from one street to the next. A lot in The Woodlands answers to the Township's Residential Development Standards. Kingwood sits inside the City of Houston. Much of Spring, Atascocita, and Huffman is unincorporated Harris County, where floodplain maps decide whether you need a permit. We figure out which rules apply to your address first, so the fence you choose is one you can actually build.
- The same person from estimate to install. Whoever walks your fence line is on site for the build, making sure it goes the way you planned.
- Approval packets done for you. Drawings, heights, materials, and stain details for your RDRC, HOA, or POA.
- Trees protected. Fence lines laid out around trunks and roots, never fastened to a tree.
- 811 locates on every job. Gas, water, and fiber lines get marked before we dig.
- Posts set for the ground you have. Depth and concrete matched to clay, sand, and wet spots near the creeks.

Questions
Common questions
Do I need approval to build a fence in The Woodlands?
Yes. The Woodlands Residential Development Standards require prior written approval for any new fence, and for repairs that replace or move more than 8 linear feet. Applications go to your village’s Residential Design Review Committee through the Township’s online portal. We prepare the drawing and material details for you. See The Woodlands for the main rules.
How tall can my fence be?
In The Woodlands, solid fences are generally capped at 7’6”, or 8’6” along major roads, and see-through fences at 6’6”. In unincorporated Harris County and in Kingwood (City of Houston), the bigger questions are your deed restrictions and, in Houston, whether the fence goes over 8 feet, which needs a city permit.
Do I need a permit in Spring, Atascocita, or Huffman?
In unincorporated Harris County, a residential fence outside the special flood hazard area doesn’t need a county permit. Inside a mapped floodplain it counts as development and does. We check the flood map for your lot before we quote.
Do you call 811 before digging?
Every time. Utility lines get marked before any post hole is dug.
